2024 Reindeer Run

Saturday, December 14 at National Veterans Memorial and Museum

5K Registration: $35 through October 25

Includes chip timing, participant t-shirt, finisher's medal, and entrance to the Rooftop Reindeer Party at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. T-shirt is not guaranteed if you register after November 15. A $5 discount for 5K participants age 12 and under will be applied at checkout.

Half-Mile Santa Stroll Registration: $30 through November 30

Includes participant t-shirt and participation in a scenic stroll around the National Veterans Memorial and Museum grounds leading up to the Rooftop Reindeer Party. T-shirt is not guaranteed if you register after November 15. *Does not include a finisher's medal.*

Kids’ Fun Run Registration: $5

Includes Fun Run prize, complimentary participation in the 5K or Santa Stroll with paid adult, entrance to the Rooftop Reindeer Party at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. *Does not include a t-shirt or finisher's medal.* Distance is approximately a 50-yard dash.

Virtual 5K Registration: $45

Includes participant t-shirt and finisher's medal. Packet will be mailed to the address listed on registration form. Mailed packets may be received following the event.

  • 7:30 - 8:55 a.m. - Registration and Packet Pick-Up

  • 8:30 a.m. - Kids' Fun Run (100-yard dash)

  • 8:40 a.m. - Opening Remarks

  • 8:50 a.m. - Santa Stroll Walk Start

  • 8:55 a.m. - 5K Processional to Start Line

  • 9:00 a.m. - 5K Start at Genoa Park

  • 9:15 - 11a.m. - Rooftop Reindeer Party at Veterans Memorial

Reindeer Run FAQs

Can I walk the 5K route? Yes, you are welcome to walk, jog, or run the mapped 5K route.

Are strollers allowed on the 5K route? Jogging strollers are welcomed! We kindly ask that participants with strollers line up towards the back of the starting line to allow room for individual runners up front.

Can my pet participate in the walk or 5K? The Reindeer Run is not a pet-friendly event.

How long is the walk option? Offered this year is the Santa Stroll which is a half-mile walk option on the grounds at Veterans Memorial.

Where can I park? Dedicated event parking will be provided at the LAZ Lots adjacent to Veterans Memorial.

Is there a water stop along the 5K route? There is no water stop along the route. Water will be provided as participants cross the finish line.

Is this event refundable? The NC4K Reindeer Run fees and donations cannot be refunded. Your fundraising dollars are put to work immediately to allow NC4K to continue to provide critical programs and services.

Are there restrooms available along the route? Available restrooms are located at Veterans Memorial where the race kick-off and after-party take place.
